Superman: Man of Steel Updates!

'Bryan Singer is 100% on the sequel to his [2006] revamp Superman Returns. He has since confirmed this with studio sources so take this one to the bank.

But, with Superman Returns writers Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris out, who will be penning the film?

Word is Transformers/Star Trek scribes Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are considering being behind the project. This gives Superman fans hope after Returns' mild disappointment amongst fan boys. The pair are apparently in talks and have had "several meetings" regarding the film. No need to worry about a lack of action from these two!'

Angry Suns Article

It looks like a different team out there on the floor, because it is. We have lost our oomph, so to speak. Where is the offense? Where is the amazing passing ability? Where is the three? These are many questions a suns fan may have at this point, when it's possible the Suns might not even make it into the playoffs. They don't seem to be trying at all, and when they do, bad calls and bad turnovers plague them.

A fed up Suns fan says "Suns can't control the tempo anymore. They brought fastbreak basketball back and the other teams are using it against them." This is the problem the suns are facing as the NBA becomes more speedy and the Suns slow down and try to adapt the big man to their style. Something it looks like he is doing fairly well, while the rest of the team is falling apart.

Slurm coming to shelves soon?

Any fan of Futurama will recognize Slurm as the official soft drink of the 31st century. You remember the slogan—"It's highly addictive." But if a recent trademark filing by Twentieth Century Fox is any indication, Slurm could be coming to store shelves sometime in the less distant future. The "Slurm" trademark includes:

...carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks; fruit drinks; fruit juices; mineral and aerated water; bottled drinking water; energy drinks; syrups and powders for making soft drinks and other beverages, namely soft drinks, fruit drinks and tea; coffee-flavored soft drinks; Ramune (Japanese soda pops); powders used in the preparation of isotonic sports drinks and sports beverages.

The best part of this is whole scenario is that a bunch of Fox execs and lawyers sat around a board room and discussed the possibility of a future in which Slurm could become one of many "sports beverages." Philip J. Fry, the epitome of an athlete.

While the trademark filing could be defensive in nature, preventing others from marketing Slurms of their own, our stomachs are aflutter at the possibility of ingesting some giant slug ass juice. Who wants to lose some teeth?

Sky One to air Stargate: The Ark of Truth in March

Stargate SG-1 fans in the United Kingdom won't have to wait quite as long to see Stargate: The Ark of Truth, the DVD movie that promises to wrap up the Ori storyline from the past two seasons of the television series.

Sky One will premiere the movie on Wednesday, March 26 at 8 p.m. -- just two weeks after the movie's U.S. DVD release.

The film then arrives on DVD in the U.K. on April 14.

The Ark of Truth stars SG-1's Ben Browder, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Claudia Black, and Beau Bridges in a story that spans the galaxies. With our own galaxy under seige by the armies of the Ori -- powerful ascended beings who demand worship from "lower" life forms -- SG-1 must take the Odyssey through the Supergate into the enemy's own territory. There they hope to find a device created by the Ancients millennia ago, which they hope will stop the Ori worshipers from killing millions of innocents.

On the other side, they get far more than they bargained for.

Stargate: The Ark of Truth makes its U.S. debut on DVD on Tuesday, March 11. Order now at Amazon.com, and visit GateWorld Play for preview videos of the movie every week. Also, don't miss GateWorld's early review of the movie next week!

No television broadcast in the United States has been announced yet.
